IPL 2022 schedule news:
After IPL 2021, Cricket fans were eagerly waiting for the IPL 2022 and this will be the 15th edition. This year, this will be TATA IPL 2022, not VIVO IPL. It has been scheduled between 2nd April 2022 to 3rd June 2022 and the opening match will be the Chennai in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium Chennai.

Last year only 8 teams had played the IPL matches. Now, in IPL 2022, a total of 10 team will play the match. IPL 2022 Venue: India or UAE?
If everything will be fine and the situation will be under control for Covid-19 then IPL 2022 will be played in India. In the case of the COVID pandemic, UAE is the alternate location for BCCI to organize IPL and other major cricket tournaments. Moreover, the decision of the BCCI is not final till now. IPL 2022 format:
The format of IPL 2022 will be the same as the previously played tournaments. There will be a total of 74 matches in IPL 2022. All the 10 teams will be divided into 2 groups and every team will play with each other two times. The teams of Group A and Group B will play each other one time. Every team from both A and B groups will play 1 more match, which will be chosen from the draw. Hence, each team will play 14 league matches and there will be 2 qualifiers, 1 eliminator, and the Final. In case the two teams have similar points, then their fate will be decided on the Points Table along with the Net Run Rate (NRR).
How is the Net Run Rate (NRR) calculated? In any match Net Run Rate is the average number of runs that a team scores in one over and minus the average no. of runs scored against it in each over.
